1 night accomodation at the Tom Groggin Original High Country cattle station.

A High Country tour including Snowy Mt Visitors Centre, Scammels Spur & an original Mt Cattleman’s Hut.

10km of rafting on grade 1-2 rapids.

10km Murray “Gates” Gorge world class technical grade 4 rafting.

8km of gentle rafting through the Hermits Valley Gorge.

SATURDAY
Day One on the River
	For those who are passionate about wilderness and being immersed in adventure. The Groggin Plains section of the Upper Murray is surrounded by the spectacular Kosciuszko National Park, home to emus, kangaroos, wombats and rich native birdlife. You’ll experience a dramatic cascade of grade 1 - 3 rapids, set against the backdrop of Tom Groggin Station. A unique tribute to High Country cattlemen and the home of the “Man from Snowy River”. This Australian icon oozes heritage and culture and provides a breathtaking contrast to the vast mountain range behind it.

SUNDAY
Day Two on the River
	The “Gates”: High in the pristine alpine rainforest of the Snowy Mountains you’ll find the Murray Gates, turbulent birthplace of the Murray River. This narrow gorge descends rapidly between enormous boulders and towering cliffs, providing one of the world’s premier wild water adventures. Awesome Technical Rapids:The action starts immediately as you negotiate seemingly non-existent passageways through rock-strewn corridors such as Sharks Tooth and Himalayan wrap. Rapids comprising of tight chutes, tall drops and immense boulders continue for 8kms...... the action and fun simply doesn’t stop! The lower section of the river mellows to grade 2-3 rapids, allowing time for relaxation and the opportunity to enjoy breathtaking alpine flora and fauna. Incredible Wilderness: Our rafters are introduced to the thrill of the rugged deep canyons, pools with crystal clear water, side-streams and waterfalls, all very much part of the character of this untamed wilderness area. You may even see platypus, kangaroos, wombats, deer and a range of bird life!

ACCOMMODATION

Your home for the evening is Tom Groggin Station, famous as the home of Jack Riley, the inspiration for Banjo Paterson’s the Man From Snowy River, who worked and managed Tom Groggin for 30 years. Banjo met Jack in 1890, and soon after the legend was born. So kick back and absorb your mountain surroundings and top it off with a fantastic home cooked meal and a drink or two! All rooms are twin share unless otherwise requested.
